Why families on the South Shore choose us
Lessons that fit into real family life.
We come to you
No after-school traffic, no studio rentals, no rushing. Lessons happen at your piano, in your living room, on your schedule.
Structured curriculum
A real progression - not just “play whatever you want this week.” Theory, technique, and the songs your kid actually wants to learn.
Predictable tuition
$160 a month - flat. Four lessons, plus the occasional fifth in months that have one. No surprise invoices.
Meet your teacher
A teacher you'll be glad your kid spends an hour a week with.
Hi, I'm Jeremy. I teach piano in your home anywhere on the South Shore - for kids first picking up an instrument, teens prepping for auditions, and adults coming back to it after years away.
My approach is simple: build a real foundation (reading, technique, listening), pair it with songs students actually want to learn, and keep parents looped in on what we're working on each month.
The first meet-and-greet is free - about 25 minutes, in your home, no commitment. You and your child decide if it's a fit. If it's not, no awkwardness; if it is, we get started the following week.
What the first month looks like
Real progress in 4 lessons.
Lesson 1
Free meet-and-greet. We see how the student sits at the piano, find the right starting point, and pick a song they'll learn first.
Lesson 2
Hand position, finger numbers, and the first 5-finger pattern. Most students play their first recognizable melody this week.
Lesson 3
Reading basics - the staff, two clefs, and a simple piece they read on their own. Plus the song they wanted to learn from week 1.
Lesson 4
Both hands, simple rhythms, and a short performance for whoever's around. End of month one: a real, working pianist.
Parent questions
Everything parents ask before signing up.
What ages do you teach?
We start kids as young as 5–6 (when they can sit and focus for 30 minutes), all the way through adults. There's no upper limit - we have students in their 70s.
Do we need to own a piano at home?
You need a piano or a full-sized 88-key keyboard for daily practice. If you don't have one yet, we rent 88-key digital pianos for $65/mo - delivered, set up, and picked up when you're done. See rentals →
How long are lessons?
30 minutes for beginners and most kids. We can move to 45- or 60-minute lessons as students advance. Tuition adjusts to match.
Can a parent sit in?
Absolutely - especially for younger kids. Many parents stay for the first few weeks, then drift off when the student is comfortable.
What if we miss a week?
Life happens. We work in one make-up lesson per month within the same monthly tuition. Beyond that, we'll work something out fairly.
Is there a long contract?
No. Tuition is month-to-month. Cancel anytime - just give us a heads-up before the next billing cycle.
